Skills and facility development

A tailor-made curriculum and the appropriate facilities

At the heart of capacity building lies the development of the skills and facilities necessary to meet local market requirements. PTC+ offers a comprehensive range of training courses, so the first order of business is to establish which ones you require.

The business plan

Following a thorough market analysis, PTC+ gets together with you in order to draw up a business plan that answers the following questions:

  • What specific skills will trainees need?
  • What facilities will they need in order to learn these skills?
  • What other resources will be necessary?

This plan will outline the training curriculum and identify what is required to deliver it successfully. What buildings, human resources, equipment and training material will you need? We will help you establish the scope of the project, address existing problem areas and offer solutions to overcome them. A typical business plan will also include both short-term and long-term goals, and will set out a timetable for activities, evaluations and revisions.

The courses

While the training courses that are developed will differ from project to project, the curriculum will always remain industry-driven and focused on practical skills acquired through hands-on learning from trainers who have been trained by the best. What distinguishes PTC+ courses is:

  • They are immediately relevant to local industry requirements.
  • Trainees can begin implementing their new skills at once.
  • All course content, as well as all training methods and materials, will bear the PTC+ hallmark of excellence and will reflect industry best practices.

Sustainable success

Building capacity is, of course, only part of the solution: you must also sustain capacity. All capacity building projects include a review and evaluation phase to ensure that the training remains effective, up-to-date and market-responsive. PTC+ is an active partner in this phase, too, following up with trainers and offering them both refresher courses and relevant new skills in order to maintain their effectiveness.
