Special Programmes: Tailor Made And Custom Built

Introduction

The training programmes that PTC+ offer are - as much as possible - composed to meet the expected interests and needs of the different target groups; this means either for those who are working in the commercial, technology intensive sector, or for those involved in the small-holder and/or rural development sector. However, training programmes that have been especially designed for specific groups are more effective and efficient. Therefore PTC+ offers the possibility to apply for specially designed training programmes or study tours; “tailored” or “built” according to the needs and interests of the participants.

For whom it is intended

· Companies/organisations that seek special training for a specific group of employees;

· Governmental and non-governmental institutions (NGO’s) that prefer specially designed programmes for their staff/employees or for project staff/teams;

· Companies/organisations that need an independent technical assessment of (parts of) their company and/or training of staff accordingly;

· Companies that wish to accompany the introduction of hardware with appropriate training;

· Organisations/training and extension institutions that need to be trained in compiling suitable training programmes for their target group(s).

Content of training/course

Design of “custom built” training programmes
In close consultation with the applying organisation or company, a special programme is designed to meet the needs of the participants.

It is important to determine:

· The training needs, targets and level of the training programme (in relation to the group of participants);

· The subjects (PTC+ covers all links in the production chain of plant and animal commodities, agricultural and food technology and natural areas; administration and management; didactical aspects, etc.);

· The methods of training (theory; practice; demonstrations; excursions; discussions, etc.);

· The (sub) group size;

· The duration of the programme and the time of year;

· The training location: in the Netherlands, on location and/or a combination;

· The instruction materials supplied to the participants;

· Board and lodging (in the PTC+ hostels or in hotels);

· The language of instruction: English, German, French, Spanish or other languages with the assistance of interpreters;

· The conditions for awarding Certificates.

Procedures for application
In case you, your company and/or government or non-governmental organisation (NGO) is interested in the opportunities PTC+ offers for “tailor made” programmes, applications can be sent to the General Director of PTC+ or to internationaloffice@ptcplus.com. Thereafter PTC+ will contact you as soon as possible for further consultations concerning the required programme(s). Based on the requirements for training, and the board & lodging needs of the participants, PTC+ will send you a cost quotation. When necessary, PTC+ is willing to assist you in searching for (additional) funding and/or to inform you about possible assistance offered by the Netherlands’ or international sponsoring agencies.
