Module Organic Farming

For whom it is intended

Farm managers, extension officers, teachers and instructors working in the area of livestock, who would like to know more about the effects of agriculture on animals and environment.

Your final destination

As a result of the training the participant is able to:


  • explain basic principles such as cycle of nutrients, biodiversity, relation between agriculture and environment

  • advise a farm about conversion from conventional to organic

  • tell the difference between natural and abnormal behaviour of pigs and poultry

  • judge a housing system in terms of welfare of animals

  • make a start with group certification of organic farmers
