Professional Poultry Production (Summer Course)
Introductie
At the end of the course participants are able to analyse problems related to poultry and poultry enterprises at an operational and/or strategic level, as well as able to compose and present a well documented business plan for improvement of the poultry enterprise farmer.
Voor wie bestemd
The course is intended and designed for participants who prepare for a professional career in poultry.
Basic knowledge of poultry is assumed (see pre-requisites for more details).
Je einddoel
Participants who have competed the full course programme receive a certificate.
Students will receive 3 ECTS (depending on sending educational institute).
Inhoud van de training/cursus/opleiding
A range of educational approaches and methods are used, including lectures, practicals, site demonstrations, case studies, field trips and group discussions.
The language of instruction during the course will be English.
The first part of the course gives an overview of the production chain, world market, international trade and introduces the case study.
The course contains furthermore 5 themes:

Studieduur, minimale groepsgrootte en tarief
The fee is € 255,- for students from Dutch Agricultural Educational Centres (MBO and HBO) and Wageningen University. Other participants have to pay € 1350.
The fee is for class materials,excursions,lunch/coffee.
For an optimal efficiency in knowledge transfer the maximum number of participants is about 20. Registration by the international office at PTC+, Phone +31 342 406500.
